Worst company to deal with that you could possibly imagine. They are forcing me to pay for their own system errors and refusing to honor the account information that they themselves displayed to me.

I waited over an hour to get hung up on. Called again and waited another hour and a half to be provided no information , no option to speak to a manager, and no way to make a complaint. CSR’s have zero way to be identified to make a complaint about other than their “first names”. The CSR’s I communicated with today both lacked any type of basic human interaction and have zero business being in customer service.

Worst experience ever. Called to dispute extra billing refused to answer my call. Checked my bill 2 days ago and now there is a significant extra charge. I have proof of payments on both the website and my bank statements. This is ridiculous and a scam try to over charge is not okay. I highly guarantee they will completely lie so they can steal peoples money.

They charged to my account another person's bill because they said someone used my account number to pay their bill. The customer that supposedly did this didn’t have funds in their account so xcel charged my account their bill!! This makes no sense and they should have identified this error. People must verify who they are and that they’re accessing the correct account to begin with. This is the process every time I have called in. I believe that this is completely unacceptable business practice and EVERYONE needs to know EXACTLY how this monopoly works! They are crooks!

Make sure you clear the rest of your day if you want to reach them by phone, don’t expect a call back feature either. Worst utility company I’ve ever had.

I called in and was on hold for over 30 minutes then once a customer service agent spoke to me he said I owed $120 back fee from january. I just paid my bill and it was $25. He was just trying to get my credit card number to pay someone else's bill or to keep for himself. Scam

I waited 30 minutes to get in touch with someone and when I did, I was asked for the account number which I did not have but would provide other details, the lady did not respond and ended the call.
