It is beyond criminal for DTE Energy to ask for another rate increase $456 million from lawmakers which falls on consumers to pay.

They already got a $378 million increase last year which I believe is also criminal. I see significant increases in my electric bill now. This has a significant impact on all household s, and effects consumers and other industries like vehicle manufacturers who make electric vehicles not to mention our daily equipment we use in the house.

I ask all consumers to make a complaint like I am with a one star rating and do not allow DTE to increase our electric bills and let them get away with their criminal acts.

I know other groups and leaders share the same concern. Thanks to the Attorney General who recognized this rate increase is unnecessary but still don't understand why they saying a 2.5% increase is ok. No it is not. No increase please.

Shut offs should be illegal!! People are freezing to death in their homes. Do you people, not have souls? Seniors, babies, children, the less fortunate! All due to an inability to pay and the love of money.

My power was on and there wasn’t a storm. All the sudden my entire neighborhood is out and they say “wind”. As a handicapped person I can’t even get to my 4th floor apartment, my pets, or my medications. I will have to get a hotel. Food will surely spoil. Worst company ever. However, thank you lineman who are working hard and probably underpaid my the greedy people at the head of DTE.

DTE Energy set up a test drive Electric Car Event. It was so much fun. I was able to drive a Mustang Mach E and found it would be definitely something to investigate further. I found out it stops at lights and you do not have to put your foot on the break peddle. Totally different way of driving. I also rode in a Tesla, and the Ford F150 Lightening. Both vehicles were cool!

I pay my bills on time, but how come when DTE decide to do maintenance I get an email 5 minutes after the power goes out informing me that they are doing maintenance and I will not have electricity until midnight? It's Friday, 9pm, DTE you had the whole day to figure out that you need to inform your costumers that the power will go out. Unbelievable!

DTE's customer service phone system is the worst. Takes numerous loops (fingers are blistered from hitting keys) to finally get to the spot you can request to talk to a human, and even then the wait is painfully long. And this is a day when 99% of customers have power, so one would think you could get to an agent easily. Come on DTE, this is 2024. Figure it out.

This company is poorly run and managed. We live in Williamston Michigan and a few times a month we lose power. Could be a few minutes, could be a couple hours. Sometimes days.
I try to report it each time and that has nearly turned into a part time job. They have a number to call during office hours which is not an 800 number. If you call that number the recording gives you 800 numbers for wires down or gas leaks, and tells you to hold otherwise —-and then it automatically disconnects you!
Everyone you talk to at the 800 line while power is out is nice, but nothing ever changes. When I call for flickering lights or after power comes on after a brief outage, they don’t seem to care or even want to record there was an interruption of service. “Oh good, power back on or flickering lights subsided, great thanks for the call.” If they are working on lines or equipment you never get advance notice. Power just goes out and once you report it you might get some information that there was work on equipment. Why not provide prior notice of that work and brief interruption of service to customers Clearly there is not enough investment by this company in new equipment and technology.
Today I can see on the outage map that this short outage affected 14 houses in our neighborhood. DTE will send a team out to investigate why this keeps happening, but will NOT notify all affected resident of the investigation results. What? Why not Just another example of poor management.
