Horrible they hang up on you!! 5 years of customership and we got $200-300 spike on bill for last 2 month as students so we call to inquire but instead of helping they start spewing technical jargon and hang up! Wtf 5 years or customership

This is scam i made deposit of 109 but when I closed my account I never got that amount back. I have been calling since 6 months every time they says we are checking “it’s taking time give me 2 minutes for 1 hour and then say I will contact you in 24 hours its my promise “ and never call back. This is totally scam company. Please be aware before you join with this company. Thank you

Tara Energy has been overcharging us for the past three months, and we feel completely frustrated, betrayed, and taken advantage of. Our average bill used to be between $100-$200, but out of nowhere, it jumped to $460 and then an outrageous $566 in the last two months. How does that even make sense?

We’re students—we don’t have money to throw away like this. Every time we contact customer service, they refuse to find the root of the problem. All they say is that our “consumption is high,” but that explanation doesn’t add up. Our thermostat is steady at 69, we don’t touch the meter, and we make sure to turn off all the lights. So how is our bill suddenly this high? Instead of actually investigating the issue, they just throw around technical jargon, shift the blame, and refuse to help.

And the worst part? When we tried pushing for real answers, they hung up on us and made it so we couldn’t even call back. This is beyond unacceptable. Instead of helping their customers, they’re making it impossible to get answers. We need a real resolution, not excuses and empty explanations.

Never had such a bad experience with a company. They lured me in with a decent starting deal and then only a week later later started calling me EVERYDAY to get me to sign up for an 18 month plan at a 50% rate increase. Total scam. They tried to squeeze every penny out of me until the very end, even threatening me with a termination fee to get me to stay despite me being well within the bounds of the contract.

This is a fraud. I enrolled in their Sustainable Nights plan a month ago. Be ware! they did not tell me my night consumption should ne 46 percent of daily for 11 cent/kWh rate. Their rate is 19cents/kWh actually. more expensive than everywhere. I switched right now and will pay 175 dollars penalty just not to stay with this fraud policies.
By the way, despite their reply to this comment, nobody even tried to call me. Terrible customer service. Liars!

Didn't send bills & still charged late fees. Didn't inform me as approached my lease ends that I had option to transfer to my new address so I allowed my landlord to use their preferred provider. Company refused to let me out of contract even though it was their lack of sending bills & communication that caused the issue. Impossible to use their website for most of the 2 years I was with them. Would not recommend. Many other well administered options out there.

Excellent customer service with help switching over my service provider. Only complaint I have is that they required a deposit to switch over. I have excellent credit and they could not tell me why their system required a deposit to switch to them.
